Our prime minister while addressing the nation on 19th march urged from people for ‘Janta Curfew’ on Sunday, 22nd March 2020, from 7 am to 9 pm. He said it’s ‘A curfew by the people, for the people ‘ to fight against coronavirus. People working in essential services like police, medical services, home delivery, and other essentials serving the nation need not take part in ‘Janta Curfew’.
He also urged people not to move out of there house on 22nd March if it’s not very urgent and important. He also appeals to the state government, local, civil society, small/big organisations, NCC, NSS, and other social organisations to make people aware about the ‘Janta Curfew’ and to stay inside the home.
He also appealed to people to call at least ten people each day and tell them about ‘Janta Curfew’ and also tell them about the prevention from the coronavirus.
He made a special appeal from people to show some gratitude and respect to people giving essential services like medical staffs and delivery person etc who are still serving people at this time of crisis for us. He said that they are working for us day and night round the clock without taking care of themselves. So, it’s our obedience towards them to thank them. On 22nd March, at 5 pm, we should stand on our balconies, doorways, in our windows and keep clapping hands and ringing bells for five minutes to salute and encourage them, ”PM Modi said.
He further stated that there is no need for panic in the country as the government is vigilant and continuously monitoring the situation. We need mainly two things to fight against this disease first one is determination and the second one is precaution.
He especially and continuously mentioned the importance of social distancing in his whole speech. Even the doctors of the whole world are continuously asking people to isolate for some time.
He said that there is no successful medicine or vaccine in the world for treatment from novel coronavirus till now, so, social distancing is the only remedy of corona till now.
Prime minister said, that this crisis is more dangerous and serious than any social, natural and political crisis in this world till now. Even during the world wars, the situation was not so dangerous.
