The apex court had procrastinated the hearing minutes before, on the issue of transfer of women and her injured lawyer, for further hearing on Friday as no one on behalf of their families appeared and sought their transfer to Delhi.

However, the lawyer of the family later appeared before a bench of Justices Deepak Gupta and Aniruddha Bose and said the mother wanted her injured daughter to be shifted to AIIMS for better treatment as she is still critical.

Doctors said on Monday, “The condition of Unnao rape survivor and her lawyer is serious and stable.”

According to the medical bulletin issued by the King Geroge’s Medical University (KGMU), “The condition of the rape survivor is improving. She is following commands and she opened her eyes and is understanding things.”

“The process of removing the ventilator has started, but she has to be given medicines to maintain her blood pressure.”

While the lawyer of the Survivor is still in “deep coma”, his condition is not improving, KGMU said.

The bench took note of the submissions by lawyer D Ramakrishna Reddy, appearing for the victim, and ordered that she be transferred from the King George’s medical college in Lucknow to the AIIMS.
