Ayodhya Dispute: SC declares Mediation process a Failure

02 August 2019: The Apex Court today declared in the Ayodhya Dispute that the much anticipated mediation efforts undertaken by the mediation panel set up by the Supreme Court has failed to settle the dispute. The court further ruled that Day to day hearing of the matter will be heard by a five headed constitutional bench.

The report of the proceeding was submitted in a sealed cover by Former SC Judge FMI Kalifulla who headed the 3 member mediation panel.

The above is in pursuance of the directions of the CJI earlier this month in the infamous Ayodhya Dispute, the mediation was in relation of numerous pleas filed in the SC in response to the 2010 Allahabad High Court order partitioning the disputed land equally among the three parties , the land in question is the one on which the Babri Masjid was constructed and later demolished in 1992.
