The Chief Justice was irked after a lawyer informed the Court that her matter was deleted from the Court list despite being assured last week that it would not be deleted.

“What are your people doing? What is your staff doing? She had mentioned it last week also. Why are matters getting deleted? a bench headed by the CJI remarked.

Being unsatisfied with the official’s response who said that he would look into it, the CJI  further said that “After two hours you will come up with different stories and say ‘this happened, that happened’.”?

He remarked that adding one or two extra cases will not make a difference. He ordered the matter not to be deleted, while also recusing himself from the hearing of the case.

The court also came down hard on some lawyers, accusing them of unruly behavior when several of them started advancing arguments simultaneously over some plea.
